3 Ingredient Watermelon Sorbet
Back3 Ingredient Watermelon Sorbet
3-ingredient watermelon sorbet is super sweet, delicious, refreshing, healthy, and is made without an ice cream maker. It is easily scoopable.
Total time: 6 hours 5 mins
Serves 6
Ingredients:
- Half watermelon (about 700 grams)
- 3 tablespoons honey, agave, maple syrup or rice malt syrup – or as per taste
- 2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice
Method
- Slice watermelon, remove the rind and cut into cubes. This would be about 4 cups (about 616 grams).
- Arrange watermelon cubes in a single layer on a baking paper-lined baking tray.
- Freeze watermelon chunks for 4 hours or overnight.
- Add frozen watermelon chunks to the food processor or a high-power blender.
- Also add lime juice, and honey to it and puree until smooth. If watermelon is not hard without liquid, then you can add 2-3 tablespoons of warm water and press down with a spatula.
- Once done, add pureed watermelon to a freezer-safe container.
- Smooth out the top and cover with plastic wrap.
- Freeze for 2-4 hours or until firm and scoopable.
- Scoop sorbet into serving dishes and serve immediately.
